We provide our clients with comprehensive, proactive risk management and act as a partner in challenging situations such as change negotiations, termination of employment, collective bargaining, outsourcing, labour and employment disputes and data protection issues.

We provide client-oriented legal advice on all employment and human resources matters, covering the entire employment relationship lifecycle from recruitment and contracting to termination. We also provide ongoing training for company and public administration management, human resources managers and key personnel on the most important issues of employment and labour law.

Employment law advice
Mastering employment law issues requires specialised legal skills. As an employment law partner, we want to add value to our clients' business by preventing employment-related problems.
It is important to us that the advice we give to our clients is understandable and that the actions we take on the basis of that advice are easy to put into practice. You shouldn't expect us to provide you with high-level legal theory, but we can provide you with practical tools that work in your everyday life in a simple and straightforward way. Our clients tell us that we have done an excellent job of delivering on this service promise.
Documents and guidelines
The employer is responsible for drawing up a wide range of documents and plans. We prepare employment law guidelines, documents and plans for you. We provide our clients with services in the following areas of employment law and human resources law, among others:

     - employment contracts
     - changing the terms and conditions of employment
     - directors' and managing directors' contracts
     - questions relating to the application of collective agreements
     - drawing up warnings
     - termination of the employment contract by notice of dismissal or termination
     - termination of employment by agreement
     - settlement agreements
     - working time and annual leave records
     - equality and equal opportunities plans with pay surveys
     - workplace development plans

In addition, we assist our clients in particular with data protection issues at different stages of the employment relationship lifecycle and with data protection issues related to the whistleblowing channel.
Public sector
We provide municipalities and joint municipal authorities, welfare regions, the state and other public bodies with professional services in all legal matters relating to civil service and employment relationships throughout the entire life cycle of an employment relationship, from recruitment to termination of employment.

The reform of the welfare regions meant major structural changes for the public sector. The changes also meant changes in the role of staff. We advise municipalities and welfare regions to adapt and reorganise their activities in the face of this change.

Our public sector services:

     - questions relating to recruitment (such as merit reviews and assessing the legality of fixed-term contracts)
     - director contracts
     - restructuring
     - questions relating to termination of service and employment
     - preparation of administrative procedure documents and administrative decisions
     - disputes before ordinary courts and administrative tribunals

We also have strong experience in assisting the public sector at various stages of the procurement process.
Negotiating change
A changing business environment and the profitable operation of a business sometimes require a change process to be initiated within the company. A controlled and well-managed change process strengthens the employer's image and ensures the smooth continuation of the business.

We help employers throughout the entire change negotiation lifecycle, from planning and preparing for negotiations, to the negotiations themselves, to implementing post-negotiation solutions. We have successfully led numerous change processes. In addition to legal expertise, successful change negotiations require timely communication and guidance for front-line staff. During change negotiations, front-line staff have the challenging task of supporting their subordinates and ensuring the business continues to thrive. We continuously train frontline staff to cope with workplace change in a way that ensures their well-being and productivity in the future.

Business divestments
Restructuring and outsourcing can have a major impact on employment relations, depending on how the restructuring is carried out.
We provide advice on the employment implications of business transfer situations, carry out due diligence on the target of the transaction, conduct any related change negotiations and draft the necessary employment and management contracts.
Safety at work
The employer must take the initiative to promote safety and health at work. The employer is therefore responsible for all aspects of health and safety at work. We help employers, managers and safety managers to implement these obligations in the workplace.

If the obligations under the Health and Safety at Work Act have not been properly implemented, this may result in criminal liability and a collective fine, as well as liability for damages. We assist our clients in preparing for inspections by the authorities and also in litigation in these situations.
Termination of employment
We assist our clients in situations where there are no longer grounds for continued employment. Assessing the threshold for termination of employment can be challenging for the employer, which is why legal advice is usually essential in a termination situation. With our long and solid experience and expertise, we help employers to choose the most appropriate procedure for their particular termination situation.

Using legal expertise is also about minimising cost risk. An unfair termination of employment can result in a significant financial loss for the employer. Moreover, a legally correct termination of employment does not pose a risk to the employer's image. We provide support and practical advice on the warning and termination processes and on negotiating termination agreements.
